4 family members dead in apparent NJ murder-suicide
Linden police say an apparent murder-suicide has left four family members dead.
NEW JERSEY – An apparent murder-suicide left four people dead, all from the same family, in Linden, police said.
According to police, a man fatally shot his wife and two kids before turning the gun on himself.
Linden police said four people, including two juveniles, were killed in the shooting.
Officers responded Sunday around 9:30 a.m. to Chatam Place for reports of a shooting, where they found two adults and a child. All were pronounced dead on scene, police said.
A second child was transported to Newark University Hospital, but did not survive, police said.

Details surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.
Police said there is no further threat to the public.
In a tweet, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said, "We are closely monitoring the horrific shooting in Linden that has left three dead, including a juvenile, and sent another juvenile victim to the hospital in critical condition. This is an ongoing investigation with many questions to be answered."
The governor continued to say: "Linden is a strong community and we will support them however possible as they mourn and recover."
